Who can resist a good apple crisp?! Luckily now you don't have to, with this gluten-free sugar-free version.
Ingredients:

4 organic apples, sliced

1/2 cup date sugar

1/4 cup crystalized organic ginger slices, finely chopped

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp salt

1 cup almond flour

1 cup whole grain quinoa, cooked

1/2 cup honey-roasted pecans, chopped

3/4 cup organic butter
Instructions: Quinoa Streusel

To a large bowl, add the almond flour, quinoa, date sugar and pecans and mix until evenly distributed.

Then add the butter and continue to mix until course texture has formed.

Set aside.
Instructions: Apple crisp

Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease 9 x 9 in baking tray.

In a large bowl, toss together the apple slices, date sugar, crystallized ginger, vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt, until apple slices are evenly coated.

Next, place the apple mixture in prepared pan.

Sprinkle the quinoa streusel mixture in an even layer over the apples.

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until streusel is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
